Album
Passatempo is the first album of
"Grupo Versão Brasileira" or GVB
for short. With 11 titles, mostly authored by the members of the group, this work will present you with a diversity of
Brazilian rhythms, including Samba, Bossa Nova, Baião, Partido Alto,
Afoxé enriched by a "Jazzy" touch and the special
participation of the percussionist Clóvis Pires Jr.
The songs evidently show the huge mosaic of influences, common
to the members of the group: Tom Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Egberto
Gismonti, Edu Lobo, Hermeto Pascoal, Toninho Horta, Caetano
Veloso, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Pat Metheny and Chick Corea.
The graphic project of the album's covers
were conducted
by Hérton Roitman, a country wide known local artist, who nowadays
lives in São Paulo.

Produced by GVB, recorded and mixed by Gilberto Barea at
TecAudio in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Mastered by Pedrinho Figueiredo. First
printed in Porto Alegre, Brazil and recorded between January 99 and May
2000.
All musical arrangements by GVB, except "Passatempo" and
"Linda"
with arrangements by Bethy Krieger and Luizinho Santos.
